Kodi companion
The Kodi companion is an Emby server plugin that communicates a list of your recently changed content to Emby for Kodi. This replaces the need to update your libraries locally to get the latest updates and helps speed up the startup process greatly.
It will now only record removed items. The server has implemented functions that replaces most of the functionality of the server plugin.
Emby for Kodi will use the Kodi companion server plugin when it has been installed. Ensure the setting is also enabled in the Emby for Kodi add-on settings > sync.
- Access your Emby server dashboard. On the left you'll find Plugins.
- Click catalog > Find the General section
- Install Kodi companion
- For plugin version 2.1.0 and lower: Adjust the server plugin settings from the Plugins page, but default settings should work well for most.
