How to report an issue
The Emby community is here to help you. The best way to get help is to start a new topic with a meaninful title and provide the following information on the Emby forums:
- The version of the Emby add-on, Emby server and Kodi you are using

A description of the problem you are experiencing.
"it didn't work" or "it crashed" doesn't tell us much. What exactly happened? If a message was displayed on screen, what was it? Screenshots are helpful in some cases. -
A log file from the time the issue occured.
Only the Emby add-on logging set to Info is required.
- Restart Kodi. This will create a new log. If Kodi crashes, a crash log will also be created.
- Repeat the actions to recreate the error.
Now that you've enabled debug for the Emby add-on, the error you've captured will be included in your kodi.log file. Please avoid posting log text directly into the post, use either of the 2 methods below. You have two options to upload your log:
Upload using the Kodi Logfile Uploader add-on.
Install and configure the add-on
- Navigate to Add-ons > Get Add-ons > Program Add-ons > Kodi Logfile Uploader
- Select Kodi Logfile Uploader and click "Install".
Upload your log
- From the Home menu, locate Programs.
- You will see a list of enabled add-ons, select Kodi Logfile Uploader. You will need to wait a few moments for it to upload your file.
- In your post, include the appropriate links presented in the dialog returned by the add-on.
Manually upload your debug log to the forums.
If you are using Kodi on Windows, you can normally locate the file here:
Main log: \%AppData%\Roaming\Kodi\Kodi.log
Crash log: \%AppData%\Roaming\Kodi\Kodi_stacktrace.log
Otherwise, if you are using Kodi on a different operating system, check the Kodi wiki to find the location of the log file.
If the kodi.log is under 10MB, you can attach it to your post. Alternatively, you can upload your log file to Pastebin, Hastebin or Dropbox and include the link in your post.
