Most of Programming and Computer Science is about communication, so we do expect you to communicate a lot with the Plone Community.
Projects should be documented and structured
- Weekly Meetings (Hangout) with Minutes of Meetings
- Direct Questions about project with mentors via Gitter Channel gitter.im/plone/plonecli
- Communication with Plone Community via community.plone.org and Github Tickets
We do expect the students to work common hours per week (40 hours) on 5-6 working day. The Student has to inform as soon as possible if he will not be avaliable for certain days (ill, holiday). In total we do expect 500 working hours for the GSoC project.
To help the mentors, we do expect "daily code commits". The Student must submit all coding and documentation work regularly, so that we could review and give feedback.
Demo and general ideas by Maik
- Maik prepairs the rest of the issues on the project page until next meeting.
- Akshay plays with plonecli and bobtemplates.plone and mr.bob and dives into the details of technical components we build with the tools. Also tries to understand content types, behaviors, vocabularies, browser views and viewlets.
