The goal of Clarity is provide a simple analytics service for Twitter. While monitoring the twitter-verse reaction toward WhoShouldiFollow we’ve noticed the difficulty of tracking the various tweets about wsif. Simply checking the search feed was not enough to easily answer questions like:
- Who are the most influential people tweeting about it?
- Which tweets are getting retweeted?
- Were the wsif mentions on twitter increasing or decreasing over time?
- Did it drive traffic to our site?
User Scenarios – describes user flows through the system. From the point of view of the user.

At some point we’ll need a real project name and domain for this bad boy. Being able to get both a good domain and Twitter handle are obviously important. Couple thoughts:
- Several webapps these days tack on “app” to the end of their name. The advantage being that you can get a noun + app, like Lighthouse at lighthouseapp.com.
- Could always use a domain name like “downtree”. Downside is that doesn’t mean anything and I like the idea of it was our “parent company” ;-)
