NOTE: Instructions for meeting hosts are at the end of this page.
The meeting is an open floor, open for discussion of any topic entered below.
- Experimental features? [amarts]
- Openstack Cinder glusterfs support has been removed
- GlusterFS support was removed from Openstack Ocata
- How can we get it back in?
- Reason for removal from Eric Harney [JoeJulian]
- Keeping a driver in the Cinder tree requires running a CI platform to test that driver and report results against all patchsets submitted to Cinder. This is a fairly large burden, which we could not meet once the Gluster Cinder driver was no longer an active development target at Red Hat.
- If someone from the Gluster world is interested in bringing this driver back, I can help coordinate there. But it will require someone stepping in in a big way to maintain it.
-
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/ThirdPartySystems/RedHat_GlusterFS_CI
- Both CI maintainers no longer active
- ndevos will check with Eric Harney on the estimate on effort required for CI
- Add any new topics here
- kshlm
