Welcome to the Jamulus tutorial!

So you have installed all the prerequisites and rebooted ur machine? Great! Oh wait... you didn't?

So let's get started by installing software:

  1. Voicemeeter Banana (Win only): https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm
  2. Reboot!
  3. Jamulus: https://sourceforge.net/projects/llcon/files/

You should see something like this on your workbench... uhmmm... desktop now:

This approach follows the "Rule Number One!" since it is crucial for having audio that is in sync. For more information on this topic, please have a look here: https://github.com/corrados/jamulus/wiki/Software-Manual#rule-number-one

Now let's go on and configure some stuff in following order to make this work:

Mandatory stuff

  1. Configure your sound settings
  2. Configure Voicemeeter Banana
  3. Configure Jamulus Client
  4. Configure your DAW (e.g. Ableton)

Optional stuff

  1. Set up ur own Jamulus Server

Keep in mind that you have keep Voicemeeter Banana (and of course Jamulus) opened up and running, otherwise the audio engine in Voicemeeter Banana will be stopped, since it is not running as a service.

Have fun!
