Welcome to the StudentAid BC wiki!

The team uses this space to share learnings as we create a brand new experience for students and designated institutions.

Introduction

StudentAid BC (SABC) helps eligible students with the cost of their post-secondary education through loans, grants, scholarships, and other programs. For this, SABC has employed two applications i.e. Student Financial Assistance System (SFAS) and Student Aid Internet Loan (SAIL) that are used to administer the end to end lifecycle of full time and part time student loan/grant applications, respectively.

Student Information Management System (SIMS) will replace the existing, SFAS and SAIL to provide an integrated and modern way of administering both full time and part time student applications, efficiently

Purpose

The overall purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the SIMS application features and functions, as built. It identifies the specific components of the solution and their relationships. This document will not define the inner workings of the system – it will not specify how the system functions are implemented.
