We've divided the project into three parts, as illustrated in the figure below: Schema

The Isengard represents the central server. This server offers a web-interface on which:

  • Organisations can add events;
  • People can register for these events (by paying?);
  • Organisations can get help with distributing work hours.

When the event starts, the registered users get pulled to an Uruk-hai. This central server requires no connection to the internet during the event. The Uruk-hai manages and synchronizes the arrivals between several Hobbits.

A Hobbit is a registration terminal (probably a laptop). These are supposed to scan the barcodes visitors acquired on registration, and print access-wristbands for them.
