We are running lots of single-sample metagenomics assemblies. Given the binning performance you state in the TaxVamb preprint, I'm quite keen to give TaxVamb a try to see if it will help with our use case.
If running only a single sample, do the input contigs still need to be renamed to some format ">samplecontig"? It would be nice (and would aid integration into our pipeline) if this isn't necessary to aid comparison of bins from other binning tools.
