This template accepts traps from preprocessed log entries. The template ensure that the logs can lead to actionable alerts and provide an overview of clients currently connected to the wireless network.
Currently, there is defined triggers for new clients to the network (via cabled or WiFi) or disconnections from the WiFi network.
This approach uses a flow where data is pushed to Zabbix to ensure that the data is available in Zabbix as soon as they are ready.
An implementation of a preprocessor for ASUS compatible router logs (using dnsmasq-dchp and wlceventd process logs) can be found on GitHub at https://github.com/mastdi/router-log-preprocessor but this template is not limited to that implementation.
