For future reference: To allow or grant a subdomain GxIT privileges, the following needs to be done,

  1. Add in the IT wildcard to the playbook like done in this PR *.interactivetoolentrypoint.interactivetool.aqua.usegalaxy.eu, and *.interactivetoolentrypoint.interactivetool.ecology.usegalaxy.eu
  2. Create the CNAME records routing to usegalaxy.eu. Refer this PR
  3. Expand the SSL certificate following the manual here

Now that the certificates are in place, I am merging this PR.
