Data Fields

If you have a pre-existing spreadsheet which you would like to import into the CVE-database program, the column names will need to be adjusted to match the fields below. I suggest that you make a copy of your spreadsheet and work from that copy.

The data fields, used by this program, are listed in proper order below. If a field is missing, add that column to your spreadsheet at the appropriate position. The program automatically handles missing data:

firstname: as it indicates, the candidate's first name

middle: A middle initial. If there is no middle name, set that field to 'None'

lastname: as it indicates, the candidate's family name

suffix: a suffix like Jr or Sr. If there is no suffix, set that field to 'None'

email: their contact email address, FCC requirement

frn: the Federal Registration number

callsign: for license upgrades. If there is no callsign, set that field to 'None'

city: self-explanatory

state: self-explanatory

E2: set to P for passed element 2, F for Failed, I for Invalidated, C for Credited

E3: set to P for passed element 3, F for Failed, I for Invalidated, C for Credited

E4: set to P for passed element 4, F for Failed, I for Invalidated, C for Credited

sessionDate: The date were they tested on

teamId: As follows:

'teamId - VEC' (example PRC-ARRL)

For VECs who do not use a team Id, use the lead VE 'callsign - VEC' (example KM6ZQB-GLAARG)

How you designate the VEC is up to you. A simple 'callsign-letter' (example KM6ZQB-G) would be ok. CVE-DB accepts whatever method you use to designate different VEC sessions.
