Impulse v2.2.7
This version is a bug fix only, last version had a critical bug preventing spectrum files saving the spectrum filename (sorry).
Please report bugs as soon as you find them !!
As always...

Impulse v2.2.6
Christmas 2024 Version 🎄
In this version I have fixed and improved the 2D spectrum calibration and isotope flags. The pulldown selection now updates dynamically and lists all json files in the /i/tbl/ directory. this makes it easy for users to create their own isotope files. Simply duplicate one of the existing files and add your own isotopes.
I also fixed a bug in the calibration which would cause the spectrum to freeze.
Please report all bugs 🐜
Happy New Year to all !

Impulse 2.2.4
Welcome to version 2.2.4
Good news for many of you, I got rid of all the silly themes which purpose was mainly to keep me amused during hors of mindless coding. Some of you probably liked the banana theme or the underwater theme, but now you will have a more grown up version.
I have kept the new look to "light theme" and "dark theme", I hope you like it....

- Fixed issue with Mac microphone permission
- Refactored tab1
- Switching between audio and serial devices no longer needs page refresh
Please report all bugs and suggestions.

Impulse v2.2.2
Bruce's bug list.....
Background Comparison and Background Subtract work fine on "energy-by-bin" and "normal display", but does not seem to work on "Log(y)"
- Fixed
the background red line is always 1/2 the value of the current spectrum, even when you compare the same spectrum with itself.
- Fixed
There is a trivial error in the headers: The impulse tab always reads v2.1.1 rather than the current version of v2.2.1 ... also,
- Fixed
when there are a lot of bin peaks and you select "isotopes", there are often a plethora of un-labeled red lines with yellow dots on the end rather than isotope names, which looks quite strange.
- Fixed
Another noticeable strangeness is that the bin peak labels show stable values when moving from a normal display to the Log(x) display, but change suddenly to different values when going to the "energy-by-bin" display
- Fixed
one would think that the computed centroids would still be the same.
- Fixed
And not to forget that the dashed lines pointing all the way to the x axis are missing when in "energy-by-bin" mode ...
- Done 😊

Impulse v2.2.1
New in this release....
-
Fixed bug associated with histogram and Gaussian in energy per bin mode
-
Added new function to view pulse shape in serial device mode
-
Various other bug fixes
People using GS-MAX-8000 serial devices need this pulse shape function to set the rise and fall parameters of pulses from different crystal types. Note: It's not recommended for users to change rise and fall parameters on integrated spectrometers which are pre-calibrated.

Impulse v2.2.0
New in this version.
- split isotope file into common and special isotopes
- improved peak finding function
- easy switch between calibration and isotope flags
- refactoring of code sections for better efficiency
- bug fixes

As always, it is your feedback that makes IMPULSE better, have your say...!
Impulse v2.1.9
Impulse has become more mature, so I am glad to announce small enhancements.
In this version I have improved the peakfinder function. It now does a much better job of finding the significant peaks.
Attached below are compiled versions for Mac and Windows.
Mac version: impulse.dmg
Windows version: impulse.zip
Your feedback is essential, so please report all frustrations and bugs. 🐞

Impulse v2.1.8
New in version 2.1.8
-
Added new variable for lost counts (audio spectrometry only). This field shows how many counts are lost as a result of the pulse shape being outside the set tolerance. This field is also recorded in the json file.
-
Moved all css styling from a separately hosted web site to the app bundle.
Bundled apps for Windows (impulse.zip) and Macintosh (impulse.dmg) can be downloaded below.
Note: I rely on people like you to make impulse better, so please report all bugs.
