Welcome to the astrocut wiki!

This wiki space will walk you through the core functionality of astrocut as it pertains to making cutouts for the TESSCut service, as well as some of the more general functions like fitscut. These pages will serve to supplement the official Astrocut Documentation page and go into more detail on the code. You can navigate through the pages we have available using the menu bar on the right-hand-side.

If you'd like to practice working with the tools discussed in this Wiki, we encourage you to work with our astrocut-for-beginners Jupyter Notebook, which shows you how to use the tools within make_cube.py and cube_cut.py to generate cutouts from a batch of TESS FFIs retrieved locally via astroquery.mast.
