Unable to get past approvals for some (maybe all) EVMs, including polygon and avalanche

Overview

Currently the approvals for polygon and avalanche are completing on the blockchain but the trade modal is not progressing to allow you to complete the trade.
You can do the approval again and pay for gas but the modal does not progress

References and additional details

1. Log into app.shapeshift and connect to wallet of choice
2. Navigate to trade page and enter a trade the requires an approval ( i could get this on polygon and avalanche trades)
3. Confirm the approval and note the modal spins indefinitely even after tx has completed on the blockchain
