seems like pretty good changes, but i'll need to make sure it works with my release processes and such? Why did some directories move out plugin-example? |

Unfortunately, Rust doesn't support nested workspaces, but since the traits were dependencies, it made sense to make them part of the root workspace. |

Building on #263, I've refactored the crate Cargo manifests to take advantage of workspace inheritance, modeled after that used by Iced, which is a notable analogue due to its complexity and cross compilation.
