Several operating system modifications:

  • Add Fedora 39
  • Drop Fedora 37 and Fedora 39
    • Reason: Only supporting latest Fedora
  • Drop CentOS Stream 8 and CentOS Stream 9
    • Reason: CentOS Stream is on a different EOL timeline than AlmaLinux and RHEL. AlmaLinux will be used as the primary representative to have closest testing/build to RHEL 8 and RHEL 9. This will also reduce infra cost and CI/CD execution time on Salt repo for PRs, branch merges, and releases
  • Drop FreeBSD
    • Reason: Not currently in the Salt CI/CD test and build suites, and being dropped from salt-bootstrap CI/CD
  • Drop Photon OS 3
    • Reason: Photon OS 3 is EOL March 2024
