Point of Impact Adjustment

ShootOFF 4.0 and later support Point Of Impact (POI) Adjustment. This feature is useful for those using offset laser trainer or weapon sights that are set for a different distance than the screen. This feature only works in projector mode.

These are the steps necessary to configure POI Adjustment.

  1. Enable projector mode. Select the arena tab if it is not already selected.

  2. Add the POI Offset Adjustment target. It is in the normal target pane. It will automatically fill the whole arena.

  3. Aim for any of the crosshair targets. Take 5 accurate shots, ShootOFF will beep quietly for each successful reading.

  4. On the fifth shot, ShootOFF will beep louder confirming that POI adjustment is now set. POI Adjustment remains enabled including through restarting ShootOFF.

  5. To disable POI adjustment, shoot at a crosshair. ShootOFF will beep twice to indicate that it is now disabled. You can enable it again by following the procedure from step 3.
