According to this reply from NVDA, all WinMM-related functions will be removed or kept internal, including the outputDeviceNameToID function.

So this add-on should either migrate to WASAPI or implement outputDeviceNameToID itself. Here's how to get the WinMM device ID from an WASAPI endpoint ID string.
