Welcome!

PictureLogic is a picture database for your desktop. It is developed in python and gtk+, which makes it, in theory, portable across a wide range of architectures and operating systems.

The motivation behind this product is to offer a tool to build and manage a database of pictures. Picture logic tries to cover deficiencies observed in other packages, that seem to concentrate a lot of features on editing and enhancing. PictureLogic focuses in organizing, storing and access to pictures.

Never lose a picture

If you like digital photography, chances are that your picture collection is of a considerable size and is stored in several media, such as hard drives, DVDs and so on. Sometimes it can be difficult to be aware of what pictures have you taken. One of the main objectives of this project is to build a centralized storage that will allow you to find and tell you where your pictures are.

Good Picture Search

Most applications do not allow you to search your pictures in an intelligent manner. Building from the concept of tagging, PictureLogic allows you to search your pictures by tag, picture name, date, album or event name. Everything with the simplest search form, in a similar way as you normally do when you do an internet search.
