does not work on when getting index df.
I think this lib does not get maintained anymore maybe.
Last commit was on Dec 24, 2023.
I might be willing to contribute to try to fix the issues, but no clue if the maintainer still takes PRs.
I will keep an eye on this.

please check use of brotli when dealing with br responses and see if requests could use that -- I have pr#88
