Jellyfin Server for macOS

Thank you for using Jellyfin!

This is the latest preview release of Jellyfin Server for macOS. This release is fully signed and notarized, and includes FFmpeg and FFprobe 4.2.2 for the server.

Requirements:

  • macOS Mojave 10.14.4 or newer

Installation

  1. On your Mac, open a Terminal window.
  2. Type the following command, and press enter: mkdir -p ~/.local/share/

The directory must be created or else Jellyfin will not launch correctly. If it already exists, that is OK.

  1. Download "Jellyfin.dmg" below, and open it.
  2. Copy "Jellyfin.app" to the Applications folder.

Acknowledgements

This release bundles a copy of FFmpeg and FFprobe 4.2.2 macOS 64-bit static from Zeranoe. A license is included in the bundle.
