If you are going to reinstall everything on your computer and you want to backup all your board settings for Firebot?

  1. Start Firebot
  2. Go to Settings -> Open Root Folder (This will open an Explorer view showing overlay and user-settings)
  3. Right click the user-settings folder
  4. Select Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder
  5. Follow the guide for zipping the folder
  6. Save this zipped file on an USB drive or upload it to the Cloud for safe-keeping.

Format, reinstall Windows or setup the new computer.

  1. Access your zipped file and unpack it somewhere you easily can find it
  2. Download and run the latest Firebot installer from https://firebot.pro

Alternative 1:

  • Select the Import option at the bottom of the Guide that shows up at the start
  • Browse for the files you unpacked from the Zip-file and open the user-settings folder
  • Push the Import 'user-settings' button and let Firebot finish
  • Firebot should now be ready to use.

Alternative 2:

  • Follow the instructions to log in and authenticate as Streamer and/or your bot account.
  • Skip the next steps
  • Settings -> Open Root Folder
  • Leave the Explorer windows open
  • Close Firebot
  • Copy the user-settings folder from your unpacked Zip-file and paste it into the previously opened Firebot folder
  • Overwrite current files ( You can skip the auth.json file if you already authenticated your accounts. )
  • Close the Explorer windows
  • Start Firebot and check that everything is in-place, might have to re-authenticate if you overwrite the auth.json file. ( This file can be skipped on the paste )

There will be implemented a backup feature which can be used for this down the road, but with the current verison (4.1.x) this is not in-place.
