- New member: Michael Tarnawa from JSC - CS, Data parallelisation expertise, joining the team from September 1st

We started training the new single field networks using the new (lighter) architecture design from AtmoRep Tag v1.0. Summary slides supporting the new design choices available here. New single field trainings will be available in the next weeks. Expected first multiformer (multi-field coupled configuration) at the end of September.

Simon is working on putting in place the CI pipelines. There is a new issue on the ideal configuration for the JUREAP large runs. Discussion is ongoing. Expected timeline for the large JUREAP runs: mid March.

Kacper: New simulations available and the team is currently working on the conversion of the datasets into
zarr

Nishant: will start working on the code next week and focus on hyper parameter optimisation

Asma (on holiday, discussion postponed to next time): responsible for the temporal interpolation task. She is working on the refactoring of the
log_validate
functions to mergetemporal_interpolation
andglobal_forecasting
output writing modes. Discussion is going on in the gitHub issue. -
Ankit and Michael Tarnawa: Will take care of the parallelisation of the
atmorep_read_data
interface in theatmorep_analysis
project, so to allow for large scale evaluations. Current setup goes out of memory when processing more than 12 dates.
