Description:

This script automates the setup of a penetration testing environment by performing the following tasks:

  1. Update and Upgrade System Packages:

    • The script starts by updating the package lists and upgrading installed packages to their latest versions.
  2. Add and Configure apt-fast Repository:

    • apt-fast is a shell wrapper for apt-get that speeds up downloading of packages by downloading multiple packages simultaneously.
    • The script adds the apt-fast repository, configures its settings using debconf-set-selections, and then installs apt-fast.
  3. Install Required Packages:

    • The script defines an array of required packages and installs each one using apt-fast. The packages include development tools, libraries, and utilities essential for penetration testing.
  4. Install Python Packages:

    • The script installs the jsbeautifier Python package using pip3.
  5. Run sar Command:

    • The script runs the sar command, which is a system activity reporter used to collect, report, or save system activity information.
  6. Install Fuzzing Tools:

    • The script installs various fuzzing tools like gobuster, ffuf, dirsearch, and wfuzz. These tools are commonly used for directory and file brute-forcing in web applications.
  7. Final Instructions:

    • The script prints a message instructing the user to run source ~/.bash_profile to activate shell functions, and provides an acknowledgment to the InfoSec community.

Usage:

  1. Make the Script Executable:

    chmod +x wuzz.sh
  2. Run the Script:

    ./wuzz.sh

Note:

Ensure you have the necessary permissions to execute the script and install the required packages. Run the script with elevated privileges (e.g., using sudo) if necessary.
