Re-open #615. Not sure how it got closed.

Might provide a partial fix for #600. Please test on systems based on systemd-resolved.

Would still need to (in a different PR):

  • port the C code in ipv4.c to the new shell script, which should work on BSDs and macOS.
  • make the new shell script compatible with vpnc-script and eventually replace it.

I've had the same behaviour before. I honestly don't think GitHub documents the logic of why a PR should close without warning. It sees '0 changes' somehow so this signals the system to automatically close the PR.

I will be testing this. I use the prior nearly every workday, starting about a year ago.

This adds the `ifup_script` config option. The script receives the
following environment variables as input:

- NET_DEVICE: The name of the network device of the VPN.
- DNS_SUFFIX: DNS domain search prefix, if provided by the VPN server.
- DNS_SERVERS: A list of the DNS server addresses if provided by the VPN
  server.
