Releases: abrechts/Phoenix-ELN
Phoenix ELN 2.4.0
This release contains following changes:
-
NEW: The immediate availability of material safety documents is crucial in case of an emergency situation. Therefore all reagents, solvents and auxiliaries now allow the attachment of up to three safety-related PDF documents of your choice. This attachment is global, all future additions of the affected material will contain the assigned safety documents by default. See the safety documents help topic for more details.
-
CHANGE: Renamed 'Connects' main toolbar button title to the more meaningful 'Synthesis' title.
-
FIX: Reference reactant dialog: A recalculation dialog unnecessarily appeared after committing changes only to the name, supplier-ID or density of the reactant.
-
FIX: Server connection dialog: The 'Disconnect' button was disabled when the specified server connection was defined, but not available. Also, the 'Connect' button was enabled in the presence of a connection.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 2.3.0
This release contains following changes:
NEW: Protocol materials now can be duplicated. This is a time-saver when utilizing a material multiple times, e.g. an organic solvent for multiple extractions. The duplicated material can be placed into the desired location via drag/drop after duplication.
NEW: Embedded images and documents now can be exported to the file system. For images, the user can choose between JPEG, PNG and TIF image formats for export, independently from the original format.
-Enhanced: Restyled all context menus.
-Enhanced: Partially redesigned status info panel to be more compact.
-FIX: When in demo sandbox mode, the "Same Steps" panel was cut off, if not enough vertical application window space was available.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 2.2.0
-
NEW: The "Clear" button was added to the main toolbar. It deletes all protocol items of the current unfinalized experiment (except the reference reactant). This is handy when the current protocol is to be recreated from scratch.
-
HOTFIX: Materials summary: The summary values of reagents specified as molar solutions were incorrect (bug #18). Also, molar reagent solutions now are summarized in volume units, instead of weight units.
-
FIX: When exporting an experiment to PDF, the application crashed on some laptops if the default printer was not online.
-
FIX: Reagent protocol item: In case of a molar solution, the molarity now is displayed in 3 digit precision format, instead of two digits after the decimal separator.
-
FIX: Reagent dialog: Extra separator line was removed, which remained after the reagent was set to molarity mode.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 2.1.0
NEW: Gathering all necessary materials before commencing an experiment is crucial. To support this process, e.g. before repeating an experiment, a summary of all materials utilized in the current experiment protocol is available now, grouped by type (i.e. reactant, reagent, solvent, auxiliary), name and supplier-ID (where specified). In case a material was utilized multiple times, its displayed total amount can be expanded to reveal the individual amounts utilized.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 2.0.1
Enhanced: The protocol toolbar was redesigned, and was moved from the bottom of the protocol area to just below the last protocol element.
Enhanced: The protocol element selection style and behavior were redesigned. The selected element now contains a selection marker to its left and a drag area to its right. For more details see the corresponding help topic.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 2.0.0
NEW: The new Synthetic Connections functionality analyzes the reaction sketches of all local experiments towards a complete tree of synthetic routes leading to, or away from the current experiment.
This tool not only detects basic linear step sequences, but also branching off and merging sequences in any required complexity, as demonstrated in the screen shot below. Each step of a sequence is represented by the chemical structure of reactant and product, clicking a step arrow summarizes all experiments referring to it, sorted by descending yield.
Please refer to the help documentation topic for more details about this powerful tool. Since this is a new and internally complex functionality, please report any issues you should come across. Thanks!
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 1.0.2
- Enhanced: Last ChemBytes Draw sketch editor window position and size, and the last file open and file save locations now are stored in settings (the latter separately for reaction sketch and RSS Query sketch).
- Enhanced: The ChemBytes Draw sketch editor now can be cancelled with ESC key.
- Enhanced: The workflow separators now feature a slightly darker background for better contrast.
- FIX: Slightly increased the minimum width of the application window to accommodate all controls without overlap.
- FIX: Specified minimum width and height of ChemBytes Draw sketch editor window.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 1.0.1
Welcome to the first non-beta release of Phoenix ELN!
Following changes were applied to last beta release:
- NEW: The new Phoenix ELN help documentation is available now, hosted on its own web page and containing a quick tour of the application and other background information. It is accessible from the new Help Docs menu item within the Help menu.
- FIX: The reference reactant dialog appearing during the process of creating of a new experiment did not have the CANCEL button disabled. Clicking it in this context led to a system error.
- FIX: Product addition dialog: When side products were present in the reaction sketch, no product radio button was pre-selected when adding a new product.
- FIX: The help button of the chemical drawing editor produced an error message.
- Enhanced: The text of the comments protocol item now is displayed in a slightly larger font for better readability.
- Enhanced: Attempting to pin an experiment in the presence of the maximum number of pinned experiments now is cancelled.
Note: As an end-user you will only need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 0.9.6-beta
This is intended to be the final pre-release version. Please report any remaining issues during the next few weeks.
- NEW: Added Help menu item for manually checking for updates. Note that the application also always automatically checks for updates during startup.
- Enhanced: Disconnected server strategy: Transitioned from resource intensive re-availability checks in the background to the display of a reconnect UI element for manual reconnect attempts.
Note: As an end user you only will need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
Phoenix ELN 0.9.5-beta
-
NEW: Introduced reaction substructure searches across your own local experiments or across all users on the optional ELN server. Use the Search toolbar button to access this functionality. More info here.
-
FIX: Exporting an experiment to file corrupted the source experiment.
-
FIX: Reaction sketch product labels were tiny in PDF and Print output
Note: As an end user you only will need the -Setup.exe
installer below. The additional two 'Source code' archive items were auto-generated and can be ignored.
