Notebooks submissions / EasyChair guide

In a hurry?

The EasyChair submission process is similar for all submission types, but there are some required fields that are specific for notebooks. If you're already familiar with EasyChair, you can skip ahead to Section 3.4 where these notebook-specific fields are described.

Step-by-step guide

1. Log in or register into EasyChair

Follow the EasyChair link for USRSE23 at https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=usrsecon2023. If you don't have an EasyChair account already, you'll be prompted to create one.

2. Create a new submission

On the "Select a Track" menu, choose "Notebooks (abstracts with GitHub URL)", then "Continue"

3. Fill in New Submission form

3.1. Author Information section

Follow the EasyChair instructions to add the information for one or more authors

3.2. Title and Abstract section

Add the title and abstract for your submission. Both fields are mandatory. The abstract should be 250 words or fewer.

3.3. Keywords section

Provide at least three keywords as specified in the form.

3.4. Other Information and Files section

⚠️ IMPORTANT This section contains required fields that are specific for notebooks submissions. ⚠️

  • Notebooks submissions category: One of the three submission categories described here
  • Repository URL: URL to a public online Git repository containing the submission material. IMPORTANT Make sure that the repository fulfills all the submission criteria using the repository checklist
  • Git ref
  • Papers/Abstracts: This field is an EasyChair default that cannot be removed. It should be ignored for notebooks submissions
  • Citation file: Use this field to upload a ZIP archive containing the CITATION.cff file. See https://citation-file-format.github.io for more information and a tool to create a CITATION.cff file online

4. Submit

Once all the required information has been filled in, the submission is ready. Click "Submit" to finalize the process.
