After you have installed the extension, follow these steps to use it:
- Click on the extension icon in your browser (Usually a puzzle piece).
- Select Frame Timer from the dropdown menu. This will open a popup window.
- In the popup, you can either:
- Manually enter the time values and frame rate, or
- Automatically set the values by clicking the
Auto
button. - By copying the
Debug Info
and pasting it to the start or end time input (Right click the video and select “Copy debug info”)
Important: To use the Auto button for automatically detecting the frame rate, or to move frames inside the extension, you must first right-click on the video and select Stats for nerds
.
Here is a list of all the currently found problems and how to fix them. If your problem is not here please open a new issue.
There may be many reasons why the extension might not be working in chrome but here are some steps to help you get it working again.
- First thing you should do is try to restart Chrome. When you reload this extension manually in Chrome it breaks something and causes the
content_script.js
to not work (for some reason) but restarting Chrome should fix it. - Make sure you are on the official YouTube website for the
Auto
buttons to work.
