Usage

After you have installed the extension, follow these steps to use it:

  • Click on the extension icon in your browser (Usually a puzzle piece).
  • Select Frame Timer from the dropdown menu. This will open a popup window.
  • In the popup, you can either:
    • Manually enter the time values and frame rate, or
    • Automatically set the values by clicking the Auto button.
    • By copying the Debug Info and pasting it to the start or end time input (Right click the video and select “Copy debug info”)

Important: To use the Auto button for automatically detecting the frame rate, or to move frames inside the extension, you must first right-click on the video and select Stats for nerds.

frame-timer-extension not working in Chrome

There may be many reasons why the extension might not be working in chrome but here are some steps to help you get it working again.

  1. First thing you should do is try to restart Chrome. When you reload this extension manually in Chrome it breaks something and causes the content_script.jsto not work (for some reason) but restarting Chrome should fix it.
  2. Make sure you are on the official YouTube website for the Auto buttons to work.
