cpan SDL
Getting SDL Dependecies To test please INSTALL SDL first.
Only If you are on Linux you need the following dependencies:
$ sudo apt-get install libsdl-net1.2-dev libsdl-mixer1.2-dev libsmpeg-dev libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-image1.2-dev libsdl-ttf2.0-dev libsdl-gfx1.2-dev libsdl-pango-dev
$ sudo zypper in libSDL-devel libSDL_gfx-devel libSDL_image-devel libSDL_mixer-devel libSDL_net-devel libSDL_ttf-devel libsmpeg-devel
On Windows we recommend using Strawberry Perl. It comes with SDL-1.2.13 header files and libs included.
Both Windows and Linux needs to install Alien::SDL
$ sudo cpan Alien::SDL
You will need a newer version of perl that you can install with App::perlbrew.
Once you have a newer perl installed please use cpan to install Alien::SDL.
To get the code:
$ git clone git://github.com/PerlGameDev/SDL.git
go into the SDL_perl folder
$ cd SDL
and switch to the experimental branch
$ git checkout -b experimental origin/experimental
Congrats now you have the code. You can play here but if you want to test we need to setup a little bit more.
$ cpan -t .
Send the output to our mailing list. [email protected]
