Releases: LennardF1989/NiohResolution
v1.5.1
v1.5.0
This release adds support for Nioh v1.24.07 and should also fix issue #19. As such, in order to activate the new patch, you have to actually select the 1920x1080 resolution again!
Changelog:
- Added support for Nioh v1.24.07
- Updated Steamless to the latest version
- Removed unused and broken code
v1.4.0
This release supports both the Steam and Epic Games Store version. A few things have significantly changed in the game, most likely the developer trying to fix one thing or another when it comes to rendering the game at a particular resolution. As a result, this patch is no longer a one-off fix for some people, but could require some testing.
Use the patch as per instructions and set the resolution in the launcher to 1920x1080. If everything looks alright, you're done! Happy gaming.
Do you see black bars on the sides (also called pillarboxes)? Then try selecting a resolution from the launcher close to your monitors native resolution (anything but 1920x1080 really, since that one is patched). Other users reported a lot of success by selecting 3840x2160, even though their monitor does not support that resolution. The reason for this is most likely that your monitor/GPU will do their best to show you the game in the best possible resolution, while only really using the Aspect Ratio fix of this patch.
Please report your personal findings here: #19 - maybe based on the feedback we can figure out a "rule". Eg. "If you try to target a resolution with an Aspect Ratio of 2.4, you only need the Aspect Ratio patch, not the Resolution patch."
Changelog:
- Updated patterns for version 1.24.01 (both Steam/EGS)
- Updated Steamless to latest version
PS. Some people reported this version might trigger virusscanners. This is a false positive and will most likely pass as more people use the patch and flag it as safe.
v1.3.0
Unfortunately, the FMV patch will no longer work with the latest Nioh update! This was however suspected due to the nature of the "fix", hence it was tagged as experimental. You can try to apply it and get your hopes up, but it will fail... Pull requests or pointers for alternative patches to fix it are appreciated.
