Configuring Device

The following steps are applied for real device and simulator as well.

Configuring device or simulator

  1. Go to Settings app
  2. Tap wi-fi menu
  3. Select the same network as computer running mockingbird
  4. On HTTP PROXY tap ‘Configure Proxy’
  5. Select 'Manual'
  6. Set the Server Ip (computer Ip) and Port: 8080. Save!
  7. Done!

Installing certificate

After configure your device, open Mockingbird. Then:

  1. On top-right side, start the server by clicking on 'Server' and 'Proxy'
  2. On device or simulator, open the browser and go to: mitm.it
  3. Tap the target platform to install certificate
  4. After installation, go to device's Settings app
  5. Tap on GENERAL > PROFILE, select mitmproxy profile and finish installation
  6. Tap On GENERAL > ABOUT > CERTIFICATE, go to Trust Settings and activate mitmproxy
  7. Done!

Android

The following steps are applied for real device and simulator as well.

Configuring device or simulator

  1. Go to Settings app
  2. Tap on Connections
  3. Tap wi-fi menu
  4. Select the same network as computer running mockingbird
  5. Open the connection’s config screen
  6. Select 'Advanced'
  7. Select 'Manual' on Proxy item
  8. Set the Server Ip (computer Ip) and Port: 8080. Save!
  9. Done!

Installing certificate

After configure your device, open Mockingbird. Then:

  1. On top-right side, start the server by clicking on 'Server' and 'Proxy'
  2. On device or simulator, open the browser and go to: mitm.it
  3. Tap the target platform to install certificate
  4. Set a certificate name and tap OK
  5. Done!
