Welcome to the first Palladio v2.0.0 beta release!

New:

  • Added support for Houdini 19 and 19.5.
  • Rule attribute parameters can directly be modified with their corresponding handles in the parameter editor of the pldAssign node.
  • Added seed parameter to change the seed value in the pldAssign node.
  • Palladio nodes now have an icon in the Graph Editor.

Changes:

  • Updated Procedural Runtime (PRT) to 2.6.8300 (corresponds to CityEngine 2022.0).
  • Rule attribute names can now be encoded using Houdini's string encoding.
  • Fixed issues with rule package paths containing white spaces.
  • Fixed loading of rule packages embedded in HDAs (Houdini Digital Assets).
  • Updated and restructured user manual.
  • Updated examples.

Development:

  • Updated compilers (now using C++ 17).
  • Linux version is now compiled with GCC 9.3 by default.
  • Updated test framework and build system.
  • Cleaned up CMake files.

Removed:

  • No longer support Houdini 18.0 and older.

Please make sure you install the attached downloads into an exactly matching Houdini version:

  • Houdini 18.5.759
  • Houdini 19.0.720
  • Houdini 19.5.303

If you run a different Houdini version, we recommend to build the plugin against it. Houdini releases are not officially binary compatible with each other.
