At the top of the report output, print the version of kraken and the database used by passing in the --print_header option. So you have something like:
Kraken version: 1.2.3-abc
Database used: /path/to/database/abc_2015521
9.42 49579 49579 U 0 unclassified
90.58 476753 5 - 1 root
