TwitchApi.Net aims to provide easy, thread-safe access to the Twitch Helix API. Under the hood it is targeting netstandard2.0
, so it can be use with either .NET Framework or .NET Core. The libray also ships with a rate-limit bypass, which enforces waits between requests so you won't exceed the Helix API rate-limiting.
As of May 01, 2020, all requests have to contain a valid OAuth token, accompanied by the assosicated client ID.
To assist with that change, you have the option to provide an client secret so that TwitchApi.Net can handle the request and maintenance of an OAuth token.
To install this library via NuGet, use:
Install-Package TwitchApi.Net
var twitchApi = new TwitchApiBuilder("CLIENT_ID")
.WithAccessToken("ACCESS_TOKEN") // Either specify a valid OAuth token.
.WithClientSecret("CLIENT_SECRET") // Or specify a client secret. (automatic OAuth token handling)
.WithRateLimitBypass() // Optional rate limit bypass
.Build();
