Supported Hardware

AOSC OS supports two devices/boards from this branch of devices:

• Raspberry Pi 2 (BCM2836)
• Raspberry Pi 3 (BCM2837)

The two board shares a single AOSC OS system release - for Raspberry Pi's upstream project does not yet provide ARMv8 kernels and device trees for Raspberry Pi 3 - both ships with ARMv7 kernel and userspace (32-bit).

Raspberry Pi 2/3 are not yet fully supported by the mainline kernel, but significant efforts were made by Eric Anholt of Broadcom since late 2015.

Community Members Ownership

• Tianhao Chai owns a Raspberry Pi 2.
• Everette Rong owns a Raspberry Pi 3.
