We experienced a similar issue in Win 11 with Chrome and latest Zotero/Connector.

Can the issue caused by 32/64 bit and user/system installation? It is very strange that an extension can freeze a browser.

Is there some tool we can run to get some information on installation where this happen?

It's unlikely to be cause by 32/64 bit installations. Generally any extension just uses the browser APIs, so it's up to the browser to provide APIs that don't freeze it, but it's not really that simple. For the moment we have some planned changes that might fix this, otherwise a change in Chrome may fix this by accident or as a byproduct of fixing some other issue. Otherwise we'll need users to find a somewhat reliable way to reproduce this before we can try fixing it or report it to Google.

We can reproduce it. Do you have some beta build of the connector we can test?

Can you provide steps to reproduce it along with Chrome and OS version?
