When to give credit

Sometimes I add credit like @X did this work Y without deep consideration.

A possible problem here is that it highlights some people and some work, while not highlighting all other great work that happens every month.

Pros of selective credits:

• sometimes it feels natural to give someone a shoutout
• it shows that things are built by real people and not some faceless impersonal "team"
• adding names everywhere would bloat the text too much

Cons:

• it may be unfair to all the other work
