Why is the kick on BB Hot Rod lacking all the low end ?

Just installed the lv2 bundle from https://x42-plugins.com/x42/linux/x42-avldrums-v0.5.2-10-x86_64.tar.gz

Did some quick testing and noticed the difference. I have been thinking Red and Black did lack punch on the kick so I was glad the new (to me) BB was punchy and had a lot of low end.

Tested the BB HR and was amazed about the difference. Is the drummer (Sample guy) hitting the kick with the HR stick so it is by design ?

I also wondered why the kicks are different. Seeing as they're the same kit, I expected them to sound the same. I asked Glen and
received a somewhat cryptic reply:

The fact that this kit is so small (18" Kick 10/14") toms it records incredibly big..
I did record 2 sets of kicks, if you think they need improving on the regular kit I'm happy to fix that..
