No total steps count in the laps view

When I look at a walk activity I recorded using Walker I can see the steps count per lap both in the Connect IQ website and in Garmin Connect android app, but for some reason in neither of them there is a total for the steps.

I do see the total steps in the session stats though:

I'm not sure if this is a bug in Walker or in Garmin, but maybe you can find out.
P.S: I just noticed that the sum of the 3 laps is 2226 steps but in the Connect IQ stats (3rd image) the number is 2228. This is also strange.
