As a workaround i'm using the Compile Options for this right now.
It would be much better if was a separate Tab for User-Defined Options.
It would be great if it was possible to use (or import) an existing Optionsfile (Setting).
It would be even nicer if it was possible to use these options for every sourcetype and to have a substitution variable for the sourcetype.

I am not sure I'm following this.

Yes, the ability to import settings would be cool... although you can access the settings are they are only stored in the users %appdata%. Note that if you copy the settings to another persons Windows machine the password will have to be re-entered in ILEditor.
It would be even nicer if it was possible to use these options for every sourcetype and to have a substitution variable for the sourcetype.
I will add &TYPE for source members and make an *ANY type which can be then used for any member.
