Issue

When updating or deactivating the WooCommerce Bookings plugin, the WooCommerce Accommodation Bookings extension deactivates and does not reactivate after an update.

Affected ticket(s)

zd-6561349

What I expected

The expectation is for updating/reactivating WooCommerce Bookings to return WooCommerce Accommodation Bookings to the plugin's previous state.

What happened instead

When updating or deactivating the WooCommerce Bookings plugin, the WooCommerce Accommodation Bookings extension automatically deactivates, forcing the absence of the Accommodation product type, and needing to manually reactive WooCommerce Accommodation Bookings.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Create products using the "Accommodation product" type.
  2. Update or deactivate the WooCommerce Bookings plugin through the WordPress admin dashboard or any other suitable method.
  3. Observe that the WooCommerce Accommodation Bookings extension has been automatically deactivated.

  4. Notice that these products have been changed to Simple Products.
