Wayland utils like X

X 上有許多小工具可以輔助，例如：

• xsel 可以在 CLI 存取和管理 selection buffer
• xmodmap 可以更改 keymaps
• xbindkeys 可以對特定輸入綁定要執行的指令
• xdotool 可以在模擬各種輸入

Wayland 上目前不知道有沒有對應的工具可以用，又或者是需要自己來開發一套。

Sway 有做一個小工具叫 swaymsg 用於取得一些 Sway 的資訊，例如目前顯示的 Monitor，輸出格式是 JSON，或許可以仿造來做一套存取 Wayland 系統的工具。
