Hi thank you for making these files and schematics available! Do you have any suggestions on part numbers that should fit with the existing layout for the USB PWR CONNECTOR on the LiFePO4 PowerBoards? Thanks!

the only two pin micro usb connector I could manage to find offered by LCSC apparently does not fit the design. I'll take a stab at updating the designs and share when completed.

Alright so here are the changes I made:

  • added the USB C connector used in many of the other designs
    • I kept the same 5k1 pull-down resistors here, but assume USB 3 which I believe should limit us to 900 mA of power draw (that's enough for my purposes)
    • added tracks for the pull-down resistors from corresponding USB CC pins
    • updated the layout and tracks for all applicable VIN connections
  • updated the resistor for the constant charge current to 1k4 which should put us at 870 mA (just about the 900 mA max we're expecting)
  • removed the VIN/VOUT connectors to make room for the pull-down resistors, but I believe those were primarily there for flexibility of your power source and not for anything critical?

Happy to submit a PR with the BOM and Gerber file.

Cool! USB Type-C / USB-PD is definitely the better choice.

@wagiminator Do you have any hints where a suitable usb power connector could be found? Not critical, as VIN is also available at the "pin-header-edge" of the board, but would be nice; I have just ordered and received 5 pieces of your board (many thanks for sharing your design and fabrication files!).

Kind thanks for a hint!

Edit: found something on Ali Express, but not by any "standard" supplier. Ebay (via Chinese dealers) would also be a choice. The part was not available via easyeda / jlcpcb.
