Proper setup for Hidden Files, or am I doing this wrong?

I am looking to sync all of the hidden files, or at least I think that is what I want to do. The reason I am looking into this is to make sure I have the same plugins synced across all devices as well as the settings for them, because right now I have to manually install the plugin on each device and then configure it, mirroring the other device. I would assume syncing the hidden files would resolve this but I cant seem to get it right. I have 3 devices, Macbook, iPhone and Windows PC. The Macbook usually being the "main" machine I use, while the others being more so of the clients (Outside of Livesync of the notes from those back to the main.)

Can someone provide some insight on the proper configuration to get this all working without getting bombarded with popups about hidden files being different timestamps etc? Thanks a ton in advance!

I have a similar situation (1 main computer, some secondary devices including an iPhone, have been experiencing some version conflicts with plugin files). What worked for me is (as always, back up your data before making changes):
(1) Synchronize your main device
(2) in LiveSync settings > Maintenance, rebuild the database based on your up-to-date, configured, main computer's local vault copy.
(3) either using the popup after database is rebuilt, or in LiveSync settings > Sync Settings, enable hidden file sync. On this main device, choose the "Overwrite" behavior.
(4) fetch newly rebuilt database from remote on your secondary devices. On these secondary devices, choose the "Fetch" behavior.
(5) In LiveSync settings > Selector (the traffic light tab), if you want to specify files to ignore, specify them in the "Non-Synchronizing files" section (For some files, I was not able to ignore when specifying patterns in the Hidden Files section lower down on this page, but specifying patterns in the Normal Files > Non-Synchronizing files seems to be working).

I also disabled "Scan hidden files periodically" under Sync Settings but changed a few things at once so I'm not sure whether this made a difference.
I've also tried customization sync but find that hidden file sync alone currently works better for me.

I've been losing my mind for a few hours at this point.
I'm trying to get livesync to ignore certain plugins / hidden files with the "ignore patterns" feature in the "Selector".

I know this feature has to be working, because it clearly works for the "/obsidian-livesync/" pattern because all my other devices dont have the same settings for livesync.

But I'm even getting conflicts from the workspace.json file which is also part of the default pattern.
I've also added the "Cross-platform" option.
I've got "Hidden file synchronization" set to enabled with "Merge" on my Mac.
"Hidden file sync" set to enable with "Fetch" on my phone and even there im getting conflicts in hidden files... wtf..
(I have to be missunderstanding how this feature works)

I keep getting conflicts inside the workspaces.json and inside the data.json of the "recent files" plugin.

Here are some ignore patterns that all seem to do nothing:

I was able to avoid version conflicts with workspace.json and the data.json of a particular plugin (in my case, novel-word-count) by adding \/novel-word-count\/ and workspace.json to the patterns in Non-Synchronizing files, whereas these didn't work for me when I added these to Hidden Files > Ignore patterns. It may also be worthwhile to rebuild DB to purge existing conflicts on your phone. I also have not yet upgraded to newly released 0.24.7 which seems to have some relevant updates.

i would really love for the features to just work the way they're intended to. :( i was thinking about the non-synchronizing files as well when i read your post.

This all stemmed from me trying to get Iconize to carry over settings between all devices, I would love to see an option that allowed to sync specific plugin settings across setups, but this will work now for how I need it.
