Comments
That's a bad Troll. |
no way dude i know whats what. make it work with azure kinect and update your unity to the latest version and then we can have a constructive discussion once u get rid of all your cybersecurity issues. |
LMAO Can be closed. |
you're a liability |
Update your software to protect yourself and others against dangerous malware attacks. Do not listen to these idiots. |
VRChat remains committed to Unity 2019.4.31f1 as it is the supported version for creating VRChat content. They stress the use of this specific version because newer ones may allow content uploads, but that content may not be visible in VRChat. Technical reasons not to upgrade to newer Unity versions include compatibility issues with existing content, stability concerns, and extensive testing and updating needed for the VRChat SDK to function with new Unity releases. As for security vulnerabilities, while older software may pose risks, VRChat likely implements updates and patches to minimize such risks. Maintaining a stable game engine version that has been thoroughly tested and is compatible with existing content is standard in game development platforms. Rapidly adopting newer engine versions can lead to stability and compatibility challenges that are more complex to manage for live platforms. For instance, Escape from Tarkov runs on Unity 2021, Fall Guys on Unity 2019.4, ect ! And yet, are there security breaches? No! Because game developers take care of patching potential security flaws, and Unity also continues to patch their engine, even though it is aging. Your explanation is therefore entirely false. Using an older version of a Graphics Engine does not mean it is no longer maintained and completely open to security vulnerabilities. |
Outdated software definitely poses security risks for whoever runs the end product that the outdated development software is used to produce. |
Well then, don't play games that use Unity 2019/2021/2022 or even Unreal Engine 4. If you're that worried about security, don't install any software or games on your PC, because most of them won't be up to date or will use engines that are supposedly obsolete. This way of thinking may be respectable (or not) but quite honestly the Issue you've created is simply useless and will serve no purpose. |
I already don’t install outdated games because they pose security risks |
why cant u just open a avatar in unity and edit its colors and the 3d objects between the joints and then just make the joitns follow the Kinect skeleton from azure Kinect
then u just save the avatar as an avatar file and then when u go into vr chat u just say "pick avatar" and pick the one u just made from the template
none of it works! im not going to use Kinect v2 because it is a security vulnerabiltuiyt
and im not using older versions of unity because it says "Warning there are secuiruty risks if u open this project in a older version of unity"
wow cool what a fun game
