Describe the bug

visit 3.4.2
using the separate time format string box causes the format string to be in the text and not used

this was restored from a session file

embedding the format string in the text works and helped with this case.

Any chance you can attach the associated session file. The # in the format string is odd to me and probably defeating the logic I added to try first what is specified in the format string before using anything embedded in the actual string itself.

@cyrush when you get a chance, can you email or attach the associated config file?

@markcmiller86, I was able to give you the session file on LLNL CZ, we can explore the issue there. Thanks!
