To import a HEC-RAS project, the user has to click on the arrow displayed on the right of the button .
Clicking on this arrow bring up a menu with a line "Import Structure 2D". If the user choose this line, the following window appears:
"HEC-RAS Simulation" should be available, and the user should be able to select a HEC-RAS project file (*.prj). Once this file is selected, two options are available related to hydraulic schemes: hydraulic scheme:
- "Create hydraulic scheme with plans": new hydraulic scheme will be created for each HEC-RAS plans contained in the HEC-RAS project
- "remove current hydraulic scheme" (enabled only if previous option is selected): existing hydraulic scheme will be removed from the Lekan project and replaced by scheme corresponding to HEC-RAC plans.
General settings for HEC-RAS only consists to choose the HEC-RAS version available on the system to solve the model from Lekan.
For each hydraulic scheme, the HEC-RAS simulation configuration contains following settings:
- HEC-RAS plan
- HEC-RAS interval parameters : computation interval, Hydrograph Output Interval, Mapping Output Interval and Detailed Output Interval
- Minimum Input Hydrograph interval from Lekan : HEC-RAS input hydrograph must have constant time interval, but Lekan provide hydrograph with variable time interval. To convert Lekan hydrograph to HEC-RAS input hydrograph, Lekan has to convert its hydrograph to constant interval hydrograph. This is automatically done by finding the best constant interval to represent the Lekan hydrograph considering values of Lekan hydrograph and this minimum interval. The time interval of the HEC-RAS input hydropraph will not be lesser than this minimum.
