Does Redis Extension block webhooks?

You mention in the docs that the Redis extension blocks the Database Extension to avoid write conflicts.

It doesn't look like the Redis Extension is blocking the Webhook extension. Is it possible to implement this? Or would it be easiest to just implement the Database extension with HTTP requests?
