in future versions, it would be nice to have a setting to apply the ping filter only to the host's team. my ping filter keeps filtering out worlds in which the host and phantoms have really low ping but one of the invaders has a high ping, which most of the time you wouldn't care about since you only fight the host's team.

This is something I wished to implement from the beginning. Sadly, I do not know how to find the the team of a player until the SessionInfo slots are filled, which happens during the loading screen. If I were to wait for this moment to check the players' pings, every canceled invasion would have you go through 2 loading screens, severely increasing matchmaking time.
I'll reach out to people with more knowledge about the game's networking to see if there is another way (if any) to know the team of a player earlier.
